Amateur and Youth Focus
As we move through the balance of this year, the founding members of IAMHA have made a decision to focus our efforts towards the youth and amateur portion of the miniature community and would be interested in hearing any thoughts that Associate Members may have with regard to this additional agenda.
Currently, we plan on having a Show Prospect Live Auction sometime right after the AMHA world show, probably in the first part of November. This sale will be a little different in that it will have reduced consignment fees and focus on geldings, performance horses, and show prospect fillies/colts.
This is being done to try and help the small and large breeders who are producing quality horses to find potential buyers that they would not have access to on a normal basis. Advertising will be done in various places that are out of the ordinary, in order to attempt to find and interest new folks in the American Miniature Horse we all love. Additional plans and details will be announced later in the year.
