How can you be International and American? Some of you new to the world of the Miniature Horse may find that term confusing as well. We are simply friends and admirers of the American Miniature Horse who have formed an Alliance that is International in scope. IAMHA is a group of American Miniature Horse enthusiasts, breeders, trainers, owners and farms who have joined together to study the world of the American Miniature Horse and expand on the areas that are enjoyable, study and improve issues that pose problems for some and establish a equine community for ALL owners and supporters. For additional information on the founding members click on the “Founding Members” button. It is not our intent to overlap with any other existing clubs or organizations; rather we seek to help them improve as well by providing a forum where all ideas and opinions can be shared as a part of an ongoing communication process of continuous improvement in the American Miniature Horse family of friends. As is common and customary in most forums with different view points we understand that there will be differing positions and opinions. We also understand that we may not always present an idea or perspective that is acceptable by all and that is all right. We will strive to build the biggest and most inclusive tent we can for the fans of the American Miniature Horse. All in all we believe we are proposing solutions that will greatly improve our industry, provide the necessary structure to ensure fairness in shows and permit the most enjoyable venue. We look forward to working with all of you for the betterment and enjoyment of our beloved American Miniature Horses.
